Who we work with and what they say…

Money well spent. Your ability to identify problems and work through a "fix" is extraordinary!

I thought my crazy schedule would be the biggest obstacle that might have prevented me from hiring you. But I also knew deep down that making time for your session was a top priority for my company. In the end, I’m so glad we made it work out. I learned much more than will ever fit in a brief testimonial. It was an extraordinary day! Here’s why:

What was so interesting to me is that almost all of my employees didn't understand the breadth of their coworkers’ positions. You opened everyone’s eyes so we could really see and appreciate each other’s point of view.

You have a very lovely way in helping business people. You helped us identify problems and then solve them by simply talking it through and seeing it clearly on paper. Having our timeline on paper is key. In fact, now it’s hard to imagine NOT having it on paper! Also, asking everyone to "own" something at the end of the day was an interesting and valuable exercise.

The most important thing people should know about working with you is that an eight-hour day spent with you is time well spent for an ENTIRE company!

I would certainly recommend you and your services to any size of business. I loved it!!!

Jocelyn came highly recommended and we were excited about bringing her in to facilitate our meeting. Since we had never used a visual facilitator before, our only hesitation came from not knowing what to expect.

Jocelyn is very skilled and understands community development, so she knew how and when to interact with our meeting participants and when to remain in the background so that participants could lead. Jocelyn did a great job of providing a visual representation of our group's collective thinking. We used her work to help us present our ideas to a national organization in a unique way. It worked – we were able to sell our ideas and were selected as one of five communities to participate in a national project.

When we talk about the process of how we were selected, I mention our work with Jocelyn frequently. I have had several people express interest in working with Jocelyn. Any organization or community group that wants to communicate their ideas in a concrete, yet creative way would benefit from Jocelyn's services.

Jocelyn brings a unique set of skills to the table and can help community groups develop their ideas and communicate them in a way that is fun and easy to understand.

The unexpected benefit of this worked showed up culturally. Our new talent brand set a different tone, showed us that we can be more creative, we can do things differently, we can make change. We really reflected on us and what it meant (talent and organizationally wide). It ended up being and incredibly valuable team development activity. Has helped me (talent leader) in leadership messaging.

This was more than just branding. This was a leadership development exercise.

Our new brand and way of thinking helps us be more competitive. We’re going to FIGHT for talent, not just passively see who shows up. This is who we are and this is who we want to join us. We know who we are. It’s much more of a leadership position.

Our work with you was “as valuable as the original purpose,” the unforeseen benefits have been greater.

It’s a great measure of organizational health. We know the culture and environment we’re trying to deliver, based on the new positioning, the results of the survey were off the charts this year. We’re walking the talk.

The talent brand complements and supports the global brand and division brands (that’s what it’s supposed to do…all fit together)

Implementation was seamless, the concepts you delivered, we were quickly able to roll-out internally and turn into banners, college recruiting materials, website updates. Transition was clean and right into implementation.

We are clear and confident when delivering story (nothing feels forced). But it’s still very powerful.

Implementation continues, I am able to take what we did and roll this out globally, the concept resonates globally.

When I first began working with Jocelyn, I had tons of ideas but was overwhelmed with where to start and what to do. She quickly helped me untangle my huge idea ball of yarn, find the most brilliant threads, and guided me to clearly see both the big picture and the small steps for my business. Once I had all the ideas out of my head, my action plan was clear. That's exactly the help that I needed to move to action.

Jocelyn's genius is being able to really listen with her whole self and help you see what is in your head. She creates a conceptual map, and then makes it visual, so that right-brain types (like me) can actually see it in front of them. She did wonderful visual notes with drawings for me, after each session.

Jocelyn also helped me to create an incredible visual map for my clients. The visual map has been incredible. It led to the creation of a book, a certification program, a new brand and new programs and offerings.

She totally "got" the steps that were most important to me, how I wanted everything to feel, and what I wished to express. Jocelyn has the mind of an experienced business strategist with the heart of an artist, healer, and guide. I adore working with her!

Intelligent. Professional. Knows-her-stuff. Intuitive. And funny! That is my summation of Jocelyn.

We first met when she took my Visual Skills trainings – she was a natural from the get go! Her impressive Wall Street background, knowledge of branding and identity and grounded, practical nature really impressed me.

So much so that she’s become my go-to source for brand/identity assistance in my own biz, including co-teaching with me in Business Essentials for Process Professionals.

Jocelyn’s step-by- step guidance (including her dynamic visual mapping) takes the drudgery out of identity/brand work and makes it fast, clear, highly useful and applicable. She’s also there as a champion and guide to implement effectively … helped me get fast results in attracting better, more aligned clients from across the globe. She’s more than ‘just building a plan’ she busts that plan out into a real life!

Before I reached out to Jocelyn, I was already in the process of brand strategy, website design layout and writing site copy when I came to a standstill, realizing the direction I pointed the creative team was not truly aligned with what I wanted to create. Before moving forward and developing something that was close but not right, or not right at all, I knew I had to stop the process midstream and do a deeper dive into my mind.

Jocelyn has a natural gift of connection and active listening which infuses her work with depth and creativity. Her visual note-taking was extremely helpful for me to actually see our conversations and direction. I had zero doubt that her process, and who she is in it, would unlock the places where I had become stuck.

Because I know Jocelyn’s process is so unique to her, I didn’t consider anyone else for this experience. I was already working with a brand development and design team, and the work Jocelyn and I did only enhanced that relationship.

Over the years, I’ve had several personal brand websites and always struggled doing most of the heavy lifting myself, in conjunction with other strategists/designers. With this new platform and brand, getting the messaging and direction absolutely clear was paramount, no matter what. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get to the clarity I wanted on my own.

I was ready and knew this would move the ball forward. However, doubting myself to be open enough to the process to let the truth come out on paper, and taking the time it takes to work through these areas would probably be the two places that could have stopped me.

In selecting the person or firm I’d work with, it came down to trust. I trust Jocelyn. From the moment I met her a few years ago, I knew she was special. Her way of being has her open up the conversation in ways that most strategists don’t. She takes her time. She has a system that pulls the client forward in a deeply meaningful and fascinating way. She has an innate ability to see people and draw out the magic that is in each of us, then translate that into brand strategy that is truly a work of art.

She is a brand whisperer.

During our work together, I realized just how much my work and brand means to me. Of course I knew that intellectually, but it surprised me how much it is in my bones.

Looking back, I would have gone through this process with Jocelyn FIRST, before engaging another creative team. Having this work in hand makes the rest of the creative process so much easier and better.

I loved all the features of the program, especially our calls together. Her excitement and joy when we would make a connection was very motivating.

There are a few things that make working with Jocelyn unique. She is very visual in her approach, which is helpful to me. She creates visual notes from each conversation. Her line of questioning is incredibly in depth, curious and revealing in where the client actually is in their own process. She is an excellent brand coach in the environment she creates.

Since we’ve completed our work, I have taken what we created back to my design team. There is more clarity within myself and now I will be able to communicate this to anyone I work with on this brand. All the deliverables Jocelyn and her team created are absolutely spot on amazing.

While I knew I needed help with strategy and messaging, what I truly got was a deep dive into WHY this brand and work is so important to me.

I became interested in this workshop because the entire process sounded like something I would connect with–the thought of using horses, which I love, with leadership/life lessons seemed like an interesting combination.

The insights and a-has came immediately during the session with the main ones being that using the horses and the herd allowed me to understand what an emotion or behavior FEELS like. What I was unable to say or put into words, I was able to feel with the horses.

And this feeling is something that I can always return to when needed. It’s like when you love a song or smell ... you smell or hear it and it sends you back to that time and space. This is the power of the moments with horses. I can tap into that feeling any time I want and reinforce the behavior I want.

I appreciated the introduction to this type of work which helped me to understand the history of horses and the interactions with humans. Also, the science of how they interact with one another and the environment as prey animals is powerful. I really liked that you didn’t tell us what to look for up front, but you were there to translate as things unfolded.

The learning has continued after that day. I continue to “see” things in my daily life and work such as:

1) I am a grounded and authentic individual

2) I am highly empathic which is a gift and a curse … I can understand and connect with people, but some people translate that as “too emotional.” I can see the different perceptions now versus thinking something is wrong.

3) I can step into a leadership position when needed

4) I can stretch to spaces that are uncomfortable to me since I now know what it feels like to be balanced within my leadership styles

5) Horses are the best forms of humans as they are completely unbiased. They will only reflect the truth. No agendas. In today’s leadership sessions, this is IMPOSSIBLE to experience with other humans.

I’ve integrated this learning into my work. I have dealt with several situations this week with a new perspective of myself and have been able to give others advice with more confidence since the horses showed me what this looked like. I know my worth and what I bring to the table because they affirmed that for me.

If you want to “feel” a behavior within yourself --- go to the horses. If you want to learn the truth about yourself and how you show up --- go to the horses. If you want unbiased feedback and unconditional care --- go to the horses. JOIN THE HERD!

Before I reached out to Jocelyn, I was overwhelmed. I was doing too many things but I didn’t know what to stop doing. While my business results were great, I knew the way I was working wasn’t sustainable.

I knew Jocelyn has worked with companies of all sizes, in all different industries all over the U.S. As a business owner, I only want to hire consultants with broad experience in their area of expertise.

A business owner has infinite ways to invest to grow the business: ads, marketing, copywriting, networking, etc. Where to invest is one of the hardest decisions to make and how to allocate resources, which are always limited and insufficient for the scope of the goal. I knew investing with Jocelyn would get the results I needed for the goal I was trying to achieve.

Not only did I make tremendous progress on my most important project, I also learned how to repurpose content in order to amplify my brand message and be more efficient. I learned how different pieces of content can be woven together thematically to make my brand message clear, consistent and compelling to my ideal clients.

We developed a workable roadmap to get my most important project, my book, published. I also learned which activities are the most critical to my marketing and which ones I could let go of.

Even before we got started, Jocelyn provided insightful pre-session questions to kickstart the brain. During the sessions, she created a giant visual map of what we discussed to keep track of ideas, clarify concepts and map out an action plan. Having her brain focused on my business felt like I had my own high-powered strategy team. She also helped review and assess another team members work to make sure it was on brand and on message. The follow-up session after the intensive was very helpful, I was able to implement things we’d worked on and get her eyes on it.

From our work together, I printed the book I’d been working on and had it ready for upcoming workshops. I took our work and then was able to understand and explain how my communication skills training is actually much bigger–my work is about culture fixing.

I’m a lot more relaxed and focused, I know where to be spending my time and what to do.

From our work together, I saw more value in what I do, which makes me feel more confident in pitching my work to companies. I see that I’m creating valuable business assets that amplify my brand message and the results I deliver. It’s so much more than just consumable content.

I was in the process of writing copy for my new website and developing my new brand and I was stuck–I couldn’t articulate what it is I do in writing and in short form. I knew Jocelyn’s background was with big corporate brands, so I wasn’t sure if she’d be interested in working with someone like me.

BUT...

I cannot overstate how much she made me feel that where I was in the building of my work, was exactly where I needed to be. She was so comforting and encouraging. She gave me the confidence I needed to press on.

Through working with Jocelyn, I learned about how *I* want to do my work. For example, I’m not a newsletter person, and that’s okay. But together we clarified what kind of person I am and figured out simple ways to just turn the volume up on that to get my message out to reach the people I’m meant to serve.

What I loved most about working with Jocelyn is her loving, supportive attitude. Her smile. Her encouragement. Her simplicity in setting goals. Her insights in particular around clarifying where I was already headed and kind of catapulting me THAT way.

She’s both professional and heartfelt in equal measure. I got both smart advice and loving encouragement. I felt like she really understood me and my work and what I am looking to do.

I loved the visual notes that she sent after each session! They helped me get clear on my own vision, literally creating picture of where I wanted to go and how to get there. And, I loved the exercises you she me. They were simple and potent. I think of her as kind of a soul coach for my business - coaching the soul of my work.

I’d recommend her a million times. All women entrepreneurs need encouragement and understanding AND skills to execute. She offers both support and strategy. If you work with Jocelyn, know that it’s going to go deep, but also be fun. And you’ll learn something new about yourself in the process. You will walk away with a solid foundation to launch your business to the next level.

I’ve seen so many people that I admire online and I always wondered what makes their stuff look so good? What is it that keeps me coming back for more? Jocelyn taught me the secrets to creating a clear and consistent brand and I now get compliments from people who “love my look!” I finally feel clear, confident, and consistent about what I’m putting out into the world.

I love having my own unique visual style that makes all my stuff look consistent, well thought out, and more importantly – a true expression of me, not a knock off of someone else. I also have a sentence that describes me and my business that feels really powerful yet natural to say to people who ask me what I do – I’d been trying to nail this down on my own for years!!

Since I’m very visual, another thing that I learned is that I can do things my way. I don’t have to write tons of copy if it’s easier for me to create in pictures. That changed my life. I literally wrote my whole opt-in in 15 minutes because I was able to do it in pictures. Finding my strengths and content creation style has made everything so much easier and helped me communicate more clearly. People respond to it in such a strong, positive way, too.

What really helped me more than anything else was working on my brand one-on-one with a real person – Jocelyn. I don’t think this is work you can really just do on your own with a bunch of free opt-ins and Googling. It just doesn’t work. Having someone who can uncover what makes you unique, help you discover your style and see your strengths is so valuable. Especially if it’s someone like Jocelyn who is intuitive, and can see what people have that they’re hiding. She’s got depth and compassion and insight and just a way of feeling into things. It’s remarkable. It’s great. She’s such a good combination of intuition, strategy and business experience.

Since becoming more clear and consistent with my message and brand I feel more confident putting myself out there. I’ve since hired a photographer and web designer and even created my own online program! All which have helped me attract and sign on multiple new clients. I had been dragging my heels for years, but looking back at the changes that resulted in my business, I now see the investment in Jocelyn’s program is a no-brainer! This was the best investment I’ve made in my business in years. My only regret is I wish I had done it sooner.

Jocelyn was more effective than any meeting facilitator I had previously experienced. As our meeting facilitator over a 4 - 5 week period, Jocelyn moderated our sessions. She created visuals (not lists of bullet items) around the walls as we went. She collected and coordinated the outputs and challenges between the meetings of different departments so that our processes were connected and rationalized. Our inter-departmental meetings were transformed.

The biggest effects she had were to identify our common goals after the first round of meetings, help us visualize them the same way across disparate teams. This forced us into a common language, a common valuation of business outcomes, by using pictures and simple flow charts to express very complex products and processes before encouraging us to dive into the detailed process engineering.

The messaging and branding that came out of the meetings was ready for prime time for all stakeholders. That marketing bent on the outcome was a welcomed additional benefit.

The process brought many people from different groups onto the same pages faster than we had ever experienced before. It was very valuable in speeding up our transformation.
